The RLFSCA governance structure comprises:
Members’ Forum
The Members’ Forum comprises countries, regional, national, sub-national local public institutions, research institutions, academia, private sector, youth groups, women’s groups, NGOs, indigenous organizations, CSOs, networks of local organizations and communities, farmers’ organizations, United Nation agencies, financial institutions, and international, intergovernmental organizations and agencies. The Members’ Forum meets two times per year, when partners develop proposals and ideas, and discuss and approve Alliance’s strategic actions.
Steering Group
The Steering Group is composed of one country representative from five Regions (Europe and Central Asia, Asia and Pacific, North America, South America and Africa) and one representative of each of the other stakeholders groups participating to the Members’ Forum.
The Steering Group is chaired by Italy (Chair- Giaime Berti, Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies).
The Steering Group provides guidance, oversight and critical decision-making to the Alliance, it supervises the Secretariat and it reports to the Members’ Forum.
Secretariat
The Secretariat servers as Focal point, it convenes and manages meetings, and it is responsable for the Alliance day-to-day operations and the implementation of its Strategy.
The Secretariat is hosted by Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, CIHEAM Bari and UNCDF.

Alliance Coordination Team (ACT)
The ACT supports the Secretariat work. The ACT is made up of the AUDA-NEPAD, UN Capital Development Fund (Co-Lead), the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The African Union Development Agency-NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD) convenes, mobilises and facilitates participation in meetings of partner countries from the African Union and leads scoping missions to targeted partner countries.
